Apply your knowledge to design a business strategy for developing Cambodia’s remote areas tourism potential

At a Glance:

Developing businesses in remote areas that incorporate different cultures is an intriguing learning activity for business students. Students are challenged to analyze more comprehensively in creating plans and strategies, without neglecting local understandings.

During this program, students are invited to inspect a remote area, located a few hours from the capital Phnom Penh. There, they will work together in teams, assisted by local residents, to analyze the area’s potential and develop a sustainable destination tourism strategy, which they will be invited to present to the local community. Students on longer programs are invited to implement aspects of their plans, working with the community.

Learning Outcomes :

Understand Cambodia’s business condition in general by attending class at the National University of Management and discuss with local lecturers and students
Explore remote areas of Cambodia and meet with local organization and discuss about their social business activities
Develop soft skills and understanding on its adaptive application in different environments
Conduct environment and market analysis to develop a sustainable destination tourism strategy
Apply the work plan by working with local communities
