As our in-country partner, [KHIRI CAMPUS Thailand’s Community Coordinator] Wan was invaluable. She met us on arrival in Bangkok and gave us great advice right from the start. She was also available to answer our questions throughout our time in Thailand made our experience very special.
Len was one of the best guides for the program. He was very understanding of students’ abilities and was very aware of the importance of regular breaks to hydrate. He was very patient in teaching tasks and coordinating meals, etc with the homestay.
We spent a lot of time in the community and had the opportunity to meet a lot of people. Through this, we learned a lot about culture and religion in Indonesia, specifically the impact of culture and religion on health. This has developed my cultural understanding and I intend to integrate this into my practice back at home as I continue my studies.
We are really happy that through KHIRI CAMPUS we are able to work with the same community more than once and see the progress they are making. I have visited this village in Cambodia with my students for 3 years now and we did a different project each time. It’s great to see these things done sustainably and we could see that the projects benefit the community as a whole. We’ll definitely be back again!

Seamless program! Our community development project in Northern Vietnam was simply fantastic. Everyone on the KHIRI CAMPUS staff seemed to think 10 steps ahead to make sure our building project got finished successfully and safely. We’re already planning to come back next year!
We’ve seen things that we would not have had the opportunity to see in our country and we’ve seen different ways to address a situation that we would not normally use. This has helped me develop my skills in thinking on my feet and it’s a great learning experience for me because at home we tend to learn one way of doing things.

Through the program with KHIRI CAMPUS, my students were able to work directly with local professionals and this collaboration let me observe how well my students can apply their practical skills, and develop new skills. It was also a great help to have the KHIRI CAMPUS staff there to take care of hotels, transport and food so that I could concentrate on the students.
Being able to fully experience another culture from the perspective of someone who has lived their entire lives there is an irreplaceable experience.
