At a Glance:
KHIRI CAMPUS program invites students to explore Buddhism embedded in three Southeast Asian countries, namely Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Besides visiting Buddhist temples and learn about its distinct characteristics in each country, students get a chance to talk and discuss with the monks. They have the opportunity to experience the Buddhist way of life through meditation sessions and join monks’ cultural activities. For deeper understanding, students are also invited to see how Buddhism is embedded in common people’s life through exciting yet meaningful excursions.
Buddhism is a religion embraced by the majority of the population in Southeast Asia. This belief has been around for a long time, it blends within the culture and people’s way of living. Therefore, Buddhism has its own diversity and uniqueness in every Southeast Asian country and it is worth to learn from.
