Pharmacy and Biomedicine in Indonesia

At a glance:

GROUND Asia Pharmacy and Biomedicine Program in Indonesia provides students with an understanding of both traditional and modern pharmacology and medical development. They will join several activities, discussion, and visits to look at the history, developments, challenges, and also observe how technology plays a role.

Students are invited to visit several laboratories with a varied focus such as immunization laboratories, pathology, and reproductive health. They will also explore alternative medicine that refers to traditional treatments have existed and are preserved for generations. During the activity, students will be accompanied by local health staff who are ready to discuss and share local knowledge.

Learning Outcomes :

Visit a local university and discuss with pharmacy and/or biomedicine students
Observe pharmacology service in a local hospital or clinic
Discover Indonesia’s pharmacy and biomedicine issues and challenges through collaborative work with local experts
Learn about traditional and alternative medicine and treatment in Indonesia
Visit several laboratories and understand the facilities and activities therein
Identify the general and key topics of research among laboratory researchers in Indonesia
Take part in laboratory activities
