The KHIRI CAMPUS trekking program at Mondulkiri, Cambodia provides an opportunity for students to not only explore nature but also increase their cultural awareness through local interaction. Students will spend some time in the village to visit Bunong‘s traditional tribal homes and learn about their life and culture that differs from Khmer people. They will learn about the lives of farmers and how Bunong people survive in the park.
Along the trek, we will visit three water caves, one bat cave, and waterfalls. Students can also enjoy swimming during trekking. Our knowledgeable guides are ready to describe the natural resources in the forest and its benefit. They will also explain some history in each place visited. Students will learn about the forest, wildlife and the issues they are facing.
