Work with an Indonesian NGO that manages a community development program that successfully saved one of the world’s rarest birds, the Bali starling, from the brink of extinction. Their conservation programs transformed the island of Nusa Penida into a unique sanctuary for endangered species including Java sparrows, cockatoos and sea turtles.
Assist at a forest nursery site to monitor tree saplings and various species of endangered birds, turtles, butterflies and bats that have been rehabilitated and released into the wild.
It is also possible to conduct scientific research and environmental management such as biodiversity identification, improving agriculture practices or post-release monitoring.
