GROUND Asia Paramedicine Program in Indonesia is an excellent opportunity for students to enrich their experience and broaden their perspectives. Paramedic work in Indonesia is quite challenging because of several factors, such as the natural conditions, lack of facilities and people’s mindset on modern treatment. In terms of natural condition, for example, emergency treatment of patients sometimes needs to be done quickly on site because the nearest clinic can be miles away.
During this program, students will collaborate with local health staff to carry out community outreach activities in the rural area of Indonesia. They will learn about paramedic practices that may be different from their home countries and explore alternative actions that must be done due to the challenges of the environment.
